Our fab group hard at work on their masterpieces

Well  it is about time we started our blog going again ...... hope I can remember how to do it!!!!
This year we have just been shortlisted for an award from the Skipton Building Society Grassroots awards and if enough people go onto their site and vote we could hopefully benefit.

The club started again after the summer recess and now it is time to get painting in time for our annual exhibition in November. The charity we are supporting this year is yet to be decided but will be announced in the near future.

The monthly Saturday oil class will be starting on September 19th. Hope I can find my paints and brush of the cobwebs.........

Captain John Bedigan

The late John Bedigan, a retired sea captain showing one of his many paintings. He wrote a book about his amazing life 'Wind, Water, Feathers and Flotsam' which was published by the Daily mail. Sadly he died on his birthday in January 2009 and is sadly missed by his friends at our art group.
