Captain John Bedigan

The late John Bedigan, a retired sea captain showing one of his many paintings. He wrote a book about his amazing life 'Wind, Water, Feathers and Flotsam' which was published by the Daily mail. Sadly he died on his birthday in January 2009 and is sadly missed by his friends at our art group.

It's alawys good to read positive things on any blog, and Kathy Storey's little piece about the old sea dog is very touching...well, perhaps I'm biased, but as one of the offspring, I'm entitled to be. Every success, Kathy, to you and the group.

Just met a member of the club this afternoon quite by accident, a feller called Graham who was involved in a bad accident on his bike years ago and took up art as a result. He told me he joined NS and Preston Grange, 3 and 5 years ago, can't recall which way round. He knows knows John Sturmey, and apparently John took his degree. Memories flooded back. Well if you're still around Kath I hope you can pass on my best to John, and hope you are as well as Anno Domini allows. Miss the Old Man though
